AU Presents Planned Parenthood

The February meeting of Americans United (AU) will include a discussion of continuing and anticipated challenges for women’s reproductive rights in 2014.

This past year we have seen numerous attempts to undermine women’s reproductive rights at all levels of government. Access to birth control, abortion, and accurate information have all been threatened or reduced by various governmental actions. Because so many of these attempts are motivated by religious groups who want to impose their own sexual values on others, this is an issue about which we at AU-OC must be constantly vigilant. We welcome a representative of Planned Parenthood to help us keep up-to-date with the many challenges we face in this area.
